New Publications:

First Friends in the Northwest Territory includes some minutes from Fairfield Monthly Meeting as early as 1807. Written by Gershom Perdew in 1863 by request from William Foster of England wishing to learn the history of the first Friends in what was then called the Northwest Territory. Thomas Beals is said to be the first white preacher that crossed the Allegheny Mountains. Copied by Joseph R. Ellis in 1896, copied by Maggie M. Huff in 1908, and typed by Susan G. Henry in 2014. Book contains reproductions of the 1896 handwritten pages. Indexed - 55 pages - $15

Surgeon General's Doctor Pension Reports for Veterans 1908-1919 contains veterans' names, exam dates, company, regiment, place of residence, birthplace, age, height, amount of pension for 215 veterans. Transcribed by Beth Mitchell. Typed by Susan Henry. Indexed -12 pages - $7.50

The Schools of Clinton County, Ohio is a compiled history of the many schools of the county. The 103 page soft cover book contains information about 248 schools. Sources include local histories, maps, school organizations, school board records, as well as stories written by teachers and students. The book can be purchased for $15.00.

Testamentary Records Book B, 1824-1836 is a transcript of the earliest known testamentary records for Clinton County Ohio. Contains the names of 134 for whom documentation of death has not been found in other early cemetery/death records for the county. This 58 page paperback volume is an excellent primary source for Clinton County 1824-1836 can be purchased for $15.00.
