Martinsville High School "Bits & Pieces"

(8/15/05) - Fifty years ago, in 1955, twenty-eight high school seniors fulfilled their childhood dreams and graduated from Martinsville High School. The ceremonies were held in the gymnasium with all the appropriate "pomp and circumstance." These graduating seniors went out into the world, formed by their education, as well as their rich southern Ohio heritage.

Thanks to Robert Clifton, many of these memories of school and community have been compiled and published in Martinsville High School "Bits & Pieces." With 200 pages and more than 139 photos, "Bits and Pieces" features current biographical sketches about the seniors of 1955, as well as history about Martinsville High School, the village of Martinsville, Morrisville, Cuba, Farmers Station, and Wilmington.

"Bits & Pieces" is a work of research, as well as pleasure. A copy of Bob's book is available in the Clinton County Historical Society Genealogy/Research Library, or can be purchased from the Society for $40, plus $5 shipping and handling.
